Pada tahun 1951, keluarga Ny. Rahkmat Sulistioningsih pindah ke Semarang, dan di sana mereka mendirikan pabrik jamu secara sederhana namun produknya diterima masyarakat secara luas. Karena semakin bersarnya usaha keluarga ini, maka modernisasi pabrik juga merupakan suatu hal yang mendesak.

merelokasi pabrik sederhananya ke pabrik yang representatrif dengan mesin-mesin modern. 

Pada tanggal 11 November 2000,  PT Sido Muncul kembali meresmikan pabrik baru di daerah Ungaran, di selatan kota Semarang, yang lebih luas dan modern. Peresmian dilakukan oleh Menteri Kesehatan waktu itu, dan pada saat itu pula PT Sido Muncul memperoleh 2 penghargaan sekaligus, yakni Cara Pembuatan Obat Tradisional yang Baik (CPOTB) dan Cara Pembuatan Obat yang Baik (CPOB) setara dengan farmasi, dan sertifikat inilah yang menjadikan PT. SidoMuncul sebagai salah satu pabrik jamu berstandar farmasi.

Lokasi pabrik sendiri terdiri dari bangunan pabrik seluas 7 hektar, lahan Agrowisata ,1,5 hektar, dan sisanya menjadi kawasan pendukung lingkungan pabrik.

Pada tanggal 10 Pebruari 2010 telah dilakukan peletakan batu pertama pembangunan pabrik bahan baku herbal seluas 3.000 m2.

•Trademark Protection
                 Registered trademark legal protection for a period of ten years and for the nextafter it expires may be extended again for a period of ten years.

• Trademark Extension
                 Submitted 1 (one) year prior to expire until the last day of validity.

• Rights of Trademark Owners
Ø The right to use his own;
Ø Right to transfer to another party;
Ø The right to give permission to others to use the trademark;
Ø The right to extend the legal protection of the trademark;
Ø The right to prosecute both civil and criminal;
Ø Right to receive legal protection from the demands of others, both civil and criminal.

• Trademark License
Ø Registered Trademark Owner reserves the right to grant a license to another party;
Ø License Agreement applies throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia;
Ø period not exceeding the term of protection;
Ø registered at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights.

• Transfer of Trademark Rights
Ø Inheritance;
Ø Testament;
Ø Grants;
Ø Agreement; or
Ø Other causes are justified by the law
